Recent/Current Projects-

5th grade artists recently completed a project inspired by the Giant Kite Festival in Guatemala. The two towns that host the festival have differing views on the meaning of the kites. One town sees the kites as a way to honor a deceased loved one and the other town sees the kites as a way to promote peace and friendship. Student artists had the choice of themes – to honor someone (or pets in some cases) or to promote peace and friendship.
